Leopold Primary School has a history spanning back to 1851 when the first school in the community of Kensington (now Leopold) was established. From 1851 until 2001, the school was developed, replaced and extended at various times. In 2001, the foundations of the main buildings were found to be unstable and all staff and students were relocated to temporary accommodation while planning was undertaken to build a totally new school on the site.

A brand new school was opened in 2004. Key features of our school facilities include:

• 4 Well equipped Art room, Computer lab, Library and L.O.T.E room
• 4 Modern administrative block
• 4 “Go For Your Life” healthy canteen
• 4 Well established and interesting grounds boasting five playgrounds, aatwo ovals, a basketball court, cricket nets, a climbing wall, aachessboard, South East Asian Garden, water tank, wetlands and Koori aaMidden
  

Our school currently has an enrolment of over 680 students and is staffed by a caring and dedicated group of teachers, integration aides, administrators and other support staff.
