 I Was advised on Wednesday that the school holiday usually taken on Show Day, or previousy Gala Day, must now be taken on Geelong Cup Day.

 

The State is aligning education and local governement to officially gazetted holidays for uniformity. Metropolitan schools take the Melbourne Cup, so regional areas are allocated the local alternative. The date is not nedotiable at the school level so please schedule the 21st of October as a school holiday for Leopold P.S.
